DeCosmos Fine Arts Society has put a call out to artists for a charity art sale it will sponsor during the Seaside Cruizers Father’s Day car show in Qualicum Beach on June 16.
One hundred per cent of the net proceeds will be donated to the SD69 Backpack Program, according to DeCosmos Fine Arts Society. Everything will be priced between $50 and $200.
All types of art are acceptable — paintings, pottery, sculpture, carvings, glass and more.
Students from Ballenas Secondary School and Kwalikum Secondary School will be creating advertising posters and have been invited to contribute their art as well.

The display space is being made available by MLA Adam Walker, and his office is also donating needed supplies, according to DeCosmos Fine Arts Society.
The community support for this event is significant and much appreciated.
