Patrick Simpson of What’s Cooking got to hand local resident Jane George a deluxe gift basket from the Qualicum Beach Downtown Business Association, put together by Fresh n Fabulous Flowers and Gifts.

The “secret shopper prizes” were given out last Nov. 15 during the town’s moonlight madness event, with baskets strategically placed around town and given to the person closest to the cash register when an alarm went off.

The second prize was drawn at Petite Pizzazz, going to another local resident Charlene Fisher who said “all the merchants are so generous in this town.”
