Errington farmers' market open for summer season
The first Errington Farmers market of the season attracted a nice size crowd, all eager to make their way through rows of fresh veggies, soaps, needlework, jewelry yardsticks and comic books.
Kabin Ware was selling his multi-purpose $2 yard sticks, with a message attached saying they could be used for measuring things like the depth of a mud puddle and the amount of gas in your lawn mower. You could also play fetch with your dog with the stick or even start a fire. His sister Isabel was selling handmade cat toys for $3.
Julie Fowler was set up selling hand- crafted bags made out of recycled jeans, with hand stitched floral designs on them.
Her son Trevor was selling his own comic book creations. He used known comic book characters and made up his own stories and pictures.
Live entertainment is also featured at the markets, with Second Wind taking the stage on Saturday. Next week will feature Dan Miron.
The Errington Market runs every Saturday until September 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
