Fab finds at Friday Artisan Market
There is no shortage of remarkable artistic talent at the Friday Night Artisan Market in Qualicum Beach.
The six-year-old event has local artisans lining the parking space beside The Old School House Art Centre and also filling the inside space with their wares.
The market happens every Friday evening from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m and there is live music outside, with local musician Fred Saliani as music director.
Vendors this year include Stoneworks handcrafted stone and gem jewelry, Crossed Heart Forge knives and metal buttons, artistic and functional driftwood pieces by Driftwood Magic, Dee and Larry Aguilar Pottery, Ted Jolda glass art, Randy Hall Photography, Inflight bird photographer Roy Hancliff and Jessie Senecal Fine Art Jewelry among many others.
Organizer of the event, Dee Aguilar, said she would like to see the market take off and grow, and she wishes the same for the other markets happening in the area.
“I hope everyone has a successful year, Qualicum could use it,” she said.
