The Silver Spur Riding Club once again put on its annual Equestrian Christmas Toy Ride in support of the Society of Organized Services.
On Sunday, Nov. 18, riders from the Silver Spur club, Tiger Lily Farms, Nanaimo and Duncan donned Christmas attire with their horses and paraded through the streets of Parksville from Ballenas high school to the SOS.
Participants collected toys for families in-need. The gifts help stock the SOS Toy Shop, where low-income parents, caregivers and grandparents can shop for free.
Organizers say the toy drive has been taking place for about 28 years.
