Annual event for children helps wrap up 2017 Beach Festival

Hundreds of families flocked to Community Park in Parksville for the annual KidFest Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017.

The event featured games and hands-on activities, a bounce-a-rama, food and lots of entertainment.

Numerous vendor displays and tables were on site, including social service agencies, the Regional District of Nanaimo, Oceanside RCMP, Parksville Volunteer Fire Department, sports and activities groups, a Tiger Lily Farm petting zoo and commercial vendors catering to the younger set.
