Oceanside Concert Band set to perform

This Sunday sounds of classical music and jazz, tunes from the big band era, and popular music from films will all emanate from Knox United Church in Parksville.

The 40 member Oceanside Concert Band will be performing at the church with music from the film The Longest Day, the Orpheus Overture, Concertino for Clarinet featuring Claudio Fantinato, A Touch of Jazz and more. The event is being sponsored by the Parksville and District Music Association and proceeds from the concert will be used to support musical programs in Oceanside.

The performance will happen at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday April 10. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and children under 12 will be free.
