Recital series welcomes cellist Steinberg
This weekend enjoy an afternoon of baroque, classical and romantic music with Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s associate principal cellist Janet Steinberg and award-winning pianist Nikolai Maloff.
It’s the Vancouver Island Opera’s second recital in its popular Oceanside Recital Series held in Parksville.
Steinberg is originally from San Francisco, where she performed with ensembles as well as the Oakland Symphony Orchestra and the San Francisco Symphony. For 20 years Steinberg has spent her summers performing orchestral and chamber music at the Grand Teton Music Festival in Wyoming. She has been associate principal cellist with Vancouver Symphony Orchestra since 1987.
