Folk Club plays tonight

The MACoustic Folk Club is tonight, Friday, Oct. 19 and the headlining group is Dr. Phil Harmonic’s Jug Band Orchestra. This is a four piece band featuring upright bass, cigar box guitar, jugs, banjos, kazoos and various other acoustic instruments.

The group will be doing a mix of original songs and classics spanning nearly a century of evolution of the characteristically light-hearted, DIY, jug band style.  The first half is an open stage, and there are still two slots available e-mail kerri@livingmidnight.com or show up and hope for the best.

The show takes place at the McMillan Arts Centre (The MAC) in Parksville at 7:30 p.m. at 133 McMillan Street. Entrance is $5 and refreshments will be available.

The MACoustic Folk Club happens on the third Friday or every month at the MAC. For more information visit www.mcmillanartscentre.com.
