Elderly Brothers play Coombs
A popular group of enthusiastic musicians who call themselves the Elderly Brothers are at it again, bringing classic rock n’ roll covers to Coombs for a dance party.
The Coombs Big Dance 4U takes place Saturday, May 31 at 8 p.m. at the Coombs Rodeo Grounds Hall.
Members of the Elderly Brothers have been playing music since the early ‘60s and have changed their name a few times to their current, well-loved name. They’ve played all around the area and at many different community events. The group plays covers like Chuck Berry, some Elvis, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and a blast of Buddy Holly.
Advance tickets are $15 from Cranky Dog Music in Parksville, The Shoe Inn in Qualicum Beach, the Coombs General Store and Cruisers Grill in Whiskey Creek. Tickets are $20 at the door. There will be a cash bar and coffee and tea at the event.
Monthly dances at the hall are presented by the Coombs Hilliers Recreation and Community Organization. For more information visit www.chrco.org or call 250-927-2747.
