The award-winning children’s group The Kerplunks will be headlining KidFest this year on Sunday, August 10 at the Parksville Community Park.

The event, sponsored by Quality Foods, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Kerplunks give a fun-filled, high energy performance with colourful outfits to match. Kids will enjoy singing along to catchy choruses and joining in on the action.

Children’s singer, songwriter and storyteller Ian Johnstone will also add to the afternoon’s entertainment featuring his banjo, and Qué Bola? Magic & Comedy duo Ariel and Rochelle will delight with a comedy act and magic show. The two have been touring the globe for 10 years with their show.

The Kidfest Choir will give their big finale performance to a week-long music camp during the event and there will be entertainers roaming the fields like the Wizard & the Enchantress and VestFire Entertainment.

There will be a variety of activities for kids on the field, a sandcastle competition, a climbing wall, an inflatable farm for the younger crowd, community booths, food vendors and more. Like KidFest on Facebook for the latest updates or visit the website at www.kidfest.ca.
