Sinners play marine pub

A hard-hitting blues band from Victoria will take patrons of the French Creek Marine Pub on a musical tour this Friday night.

Summer and the Sinners are performing at the pub from 8:30 p.m. to midnight on July 25.

The band was a crowd favourite at the 2012 Powell River Blues Festival according to the music director, Steve Kozak.

“Summer’s great vocal ability, warm personality and captivating stage presence had our festival audience begging for more,” said Kozak in a  release issued by the band.

Summer and the Sinners have released three CDs which feature prominent Canadian blues musicians David Gogo and Jack Lavin. The group has been performing on the road steadily since 2004 and continues to perform at festivals around the province. For more on the band visit www.summerandthesinners.com.
