Jazz combo plays the MAC

A jazz duo from the Comox Valley known for playing with an entertaining and engaging style is playing at the McMillan Arts Centre Friday, Sept. 12.

Indigo Jazz features three veteran musicians, Dale Graham on vocals, John Hyde on bass, and Rick Husband on guitar and guests Ron Joiner on drums and Jay Havelaar on trumpet.

Graham is well known for her personable style and smooth, warm voice.

Husband brings a wealth of musical experience having performed for many years in mainstream and traditional jazz groups as well as big bands in Victoria and Comox Valley.

Hyde has been a freelance bassist since 1972 and was artistic director of the Jazz Studies Program at Mount Royal College in Calgary.

Tickets for the show are $15, $12 for OCAC members. The performance starts at 7 p.m. and doors open at 6:30 p.m.
