Find some incredible deals on art this weekend as The Old School House (TOSH) puts on its sixth annual Art from the Attic Sale.

“It’s always fun,” said executive director at TOSH Corrine James, “it's like a big art garage sale.”

Residents are encouraged to bring their art into TOSH between 10 a.m. and noon on Saturday, Feb.19 where the pieces will be registered and priced. Art owners will get to keep 60 per cent of the money made on their art and TOSH will keep 40 per cent.

“It’s a good way for people to [sell] things they no longer love,” said James, “Someone else can take them home and often they’ll find something in exchange here.”

James said past years have seen about 200 pieces of art, including $5 pieces, Harry Hiene originals and etchings by Rembrandt.

Pieces that haven’t been sold will be marked down on Feb. 24.The sale runs from Feb.19 to March 6 from noon to 4:30 p.m. daily. For more information call 250-752-6133 or visit www.theoldschoolhouse.org.
