Don’t mistake poacher for a hunter

I am very upset of the words used in the writeup on the first page of last Thursday’s paper – “headless bear carcass” found in the Corcan area. It states that the conservation officer has no idea what a “hunter” would do with these parts. This cowardly action is in no way representative of a true hunter.

This is work of a 100% poacher by far.

Do not classify this act as of a hunter.

We true hunters would never do such a horrific thing to a hunted animal, ever!

We hunt to feed our families, not to conduct inhumane acts like this one. It is unfortunate that this still happens in this day in age. But I beg to differ that this was done by a hunter. Bear meat is like gold, very few ever get to enjoy it.

So please do not start pointing your fingers at us hunters on this disgusting find. Watch your p’s and p’s while you do your due diligence on who would get a full benefit from what was taken and not what was used.
