Why can they not be multi-use? As required I wash, and/or rinse, then hang the bags to dry.
As long as the plastic bags are not leeching or torn too much I re-use them up to several times.
One can also double or triple bag some of the compromised plastic bags and use again. Think of the huge savings for our environment.
