The Rocking Horse Pub will hold their annual Robbie Burns night this Friday, complete with a traditional ceremony and live entertainment.

The owners of the English-style pub, the Willoughby’s, enjoy putting on the event that has ties to their own British heritage, said Luise Willoughby.

“We liked the Scottish traditions as well, we’re a fan of Robbie Burns ... and I love haggis,” she said with a slight chuckle.

The haggis will be followed around by a traditional bagpiper, followed by an address to the famed Scottish dish.

Luise said although some people are squeamish about trying the haggis, many others thoroughly enjoy it.

Traditional Scottish fare will be also be available at the pub on Robbie Burns night, ranging from around $10 to $14.

Celtic Chaos will return to perform at the event, a popular local group who play traditional music, including energetic reels from Scotland.

Tickets are $10, available from the bar.
