Eagle to be set free

An eagle release is happening at the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre in Errington on Sat., April 16 as part of the Brant Wildlife Festival. 

The day begins at 11:30 a.m. with an introduction to Sandor the Bald Eagle, at 12:30 p.m. Emily the Saker Falcon will be presented and at 1:15, Bardo the owl. 

At 2 p.m., the eagle release will be undertaken by Alberni-Pacific Rim MLA Scott Fraser.

Entry is by donation. Sylvia Campbell, NIWRA president, said people should come early as parking is limited.
