Wall of wine ready to flow
The Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach has lined up some fine tasting spirits for their annual Wine Fest at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre April 21.
Wine connoisseurs will get to swirl and sip a wide range of reds and whites from some of the best wineries in B.C. The wineries represented include: Mt. Boucherie Estate Wines from Kelowna, Dirty Laundry in the Okanagan, from Naramata Bench; Elephant Island Winery, Lake Breeze Vineyards and Nichol Vineyard, from Okangan Falls; Noble Ridge Vineyard and Winery and Wild Goose Vineyards, from Oliver, Hester Creek Winery, and from elsewhere in the province; River’s Bend Winery, Muse Winery, Lotusland Vineyard and Oaks Winery.
Distributors of imported wines will also be on hand and include: Mark Anthony Group representing BC, Argentina, Chile, France, South Africa and Spain, Kirkwood Group representing wine from Argentina, Chile, France and New Zealand and Burrows, Luongo and Associates representing vino from Australia, Argentina, Chile, France and Italy and Jason Hyde Wine Distributors who carry products from France, Chile, Spain, Argentina and Australia.
The ever popular Wall of Wine raffle
will include 50 bottles of imported and B.C. reds, whites. Tickets are $10 each or three for $20.
For those who want to hone their wine tasting skills, sommelier Carmen Spagnola of the The Bacchus Wine Group will be conducting a seminar from 6 to 7 p.m. The seminar is limited to the first 100 patrons.
Tickets are $30 for the event which is a major fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach. Along with wine sampling there will be local and imported cheeses, hot and cold hors d’oeuvres including Fanny Bay oysters. For those who sip and swirl too much, arrangements can be made for a safe ride home. Tickets are available at the Qualicum Beach Medicine Centre, Mulberry Bush Book stores, and Rotary members.
