“With the inviting dining room decorated in a harvest theme, the Gardens’ culinary team served a feast appropriate to the occasion, with turkey and all the trimmings, shared amid good company,” Jolicoeur says.
The Thanksgiving festivities held special meaning after 19 months of pandemic protocols – a chance to celebrate the resilience of residents and staff, and gratitude for friends, family and the greater community.
The special dinner was the latest in a season of fun events for residents that ranged from a festive English garden party with high tea and fine china to an elegant “Evening Under the Stars,” complete with delicious food, sparkling wine and the musical magic.
These events help build an engaging, vibrant community at the Qualicum Beach seniors’ residence, and also let the Gardens’ teams showcase their areas of expertise with flourish, Jolicoeur notes.
