$100,000 for homeless ideas
Directors at the Regional District of Nanaimo voted to approve the allocation of a $100,000 grant to support Parksville and Nanaimo’s homelessness projects Tuesday.
The grant came from the Vancouver Island Health Authority and will see $34,000 go to Parksville’s Oceanside Homelessness Task Force, with the remainder going to Nanaimo.
