Relief effort underway locally
The Passion For Compassion Project Group is collecting relief supplies for Japan, says organizer Scarlette Lexington.
The project will be conducted much the same as the group’s efforts last year after the earthquake in Haiti. Along with the relief items, they are looking for space to conduct the work of sorting and re-packing.
Anyone with space, interested in helping, or for a detailed list of needed items, contact Scarlette at 250-586-6454 or e-mail passionforcompassion@live.ca. Items need to be in good and clean order, no breakables.
