VIHA's next meeting in city
Federation of Oceanside Residents’ Associations spokesman Tom Davies encourages everyone concerned to attend the next Vancouver Island Health Authority board meeting which happens to be in Parksville on Wednesday, March 30.
“Come to the board meeting and show them the community is still committed to this project,” he said.
The board meets every two months in different Island communities. They generally hold one in the Nanaimo area every year, but the last VIHA board meeting in Oceanside was in Qualicum Beach in July, 2008.
Written questions or requests for presentations must be submitted by March 15 and there will be an open house after the meeting. Check the website at www.viha.ca/about_viha/board_of_directors for more information.
The meeting is at 10:30 a.m. at the Parksville Community & Conference Centre, 132 E. Jensen Avenue, Parksville.
