Raven Coal Mine proponents to hold a series of public information forums in the Central Island
The public is encouraged to attend the following meetings about the environmental assessment process concerning the proposed Raven underground coal mine in Baynes Sound:
• 2-10 p.m. Monday, May 30, Filberg Centre, Courtenay;
• 2-10 p.m. Thursday, June 2, Port Alberni Athletic Hall;
• 2-10 p.m. Friday, June 3, Union Bay Community Hall.
Critical times to attend are from 6 to 10 p.m. for presentations by the B.C. Environmental Assessment Office, Canada Environmental Assessment Agency and Compliance Coal Corporation (Raven Coal).
