Qualicum Beach to celebrate freemen

Qualicum Beach residents won’t want to miss this Wednesday’s council meeting, but they will if they go to town hall.

That’s because the 10 a.m. meeting is slated to be held at the Civic Centre, in order that the town can host a celebration to honour four people who have really stood out in the community.

Art Skipsey, Jack Collins, Leo Klees and Anna Klees will all be named as Freemen of the Town at the ceremony, which will immediately follow the brief agenda.

The four will be honoured for their significant contributions to Qualicum Beach over a period of many years.
