Pair of vehicles stolen

Police are looking for clues about who was responsible for two thefts of motor vehicles on the same day this week.

Oceanside RCMP Sergeant Darrell Robertson reported the first theft took place on Dec. 7 at about 5 p.m. when the owner of a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche noted it had been stolen from a gravel pit on Errington Road.

The vehicle, Robertson noted, was white and had a nearly full tank of gas.

At 9:20 p.m. that same night, police received a report of a white GMC pickup truck being stolen from a parking garage on Moilliet Street in Parksville. This vehicle, too, had a nearly full tank of gas.

Anyone with information about either of these thefts is asked to contact the Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111.
