Volunteers sought for new council committee

Parksville city council is looking for volunteers for their inaugural advisory committee.

On May 28, council voted to establish the committee, tasked with considering and providing input on matters referred to it by council. Now, they are looking for the initial members.

The committee will forward its findings and opinions to council in accordance with the terms of reference agreed to by council.

The five-member committee is meant to be a broad representation of the community and will include a councillor as chairperson.

The city encourages all interested Parksville residents to pick up application forms from the city hall administration department and they must be dropped off or mailed to PO Box 1390, 100 Jensen Avenue East, Parksville V9P 2H3 by Friday, June 29.

For more information check the city link at www.parksville.ca, stop by the office, or call 250-954-3070.
