The 7th annual Carol Festival is happening at the Lighthouse Community Hall in Qualicum Bay this Sunday with sing-alongs, music, drama and refreshments.
Here We Come A Caroling is organized by the Island Gospel Centre and the Wildwood Community Church, in Bowser, and begins at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 2.
“We started it because we felt like there was a desire in the community to keep the traditional songs and expressions of Christmas alive,” said Colin Meikle, pastor at the Island Gospel Centre.
The free event will include traditional caroling, where the audience can join in, as well as performances from the two churches, complete with a band.
An original one act play will also be presented at the event, and there will be coffee, tea and finger foods available.
Donations are appreciated which will go primarily to the rental of the Lighthouse Community Hall.
