A group of local musicians and singers are inviting the public for some caroling and treats at Butlers at the Mansion next Wednesday to raise money for the Salvation Army.

It was Layne Collinson’s idea, who works at the hotel, and she said with the Bethlehem Walk and the Santa Claus Parade being cancelled, her and others thought it was important.

“I wanted to give back to the community and the Salvation Army really needs our help, this year especially."

On Dec. 12 from 6:30 p.m. at the Crown Mansion Gary Hodi will play familiar holiday songs on the piano while Collinson and friends sing along. People can join in or just enjoy while sipping some hot chocolate and snacking on some cookies.

All donations and proceeds will go to the Salvation Army and food donations are also being accepted.

Bulters at the Mansion is located at 292 Crescent Rd. East in Qualicum Beach.
