Dog in car accident returns home safely

The dog that fled following a car accident in Parksville Thursday has returned home safely.

The dog’s owner was taken away by ambulance following a collision and friends tried to recover the dog (Sady) and take her home. The frightened dog managed to get her collar off and took off running.

Despite help from many drivers who spotted Sady running down the road and into the Community Park, she was missing for a few hours.

When the owner returned from the hospital later in the afternoon, Sady was waiting for her outside their home in Parksville.
