Chenier withdraws from Parksville-Qualicum Liberal race

One week after announcing he would seek the B.C. Liberal Party nomination in Parksville-Qualicum Beach, Patrick Chenier has withdrawn his name from contention.

In a news release issued Thursday afternoon, Chenier said he decided not to seek the nomination “after reflection and open dialogue with party officials.”

Paralympic gold medalist Michelle Stilwell is now the only declared candidate for the nomination meeting Jan. 8.
