Walk Now fo Autism's year-long effort
The annual Walk Now For Autism is seven months away, but Fran Duncan said they are already raising funds and planning events.
"I've canvassed for autism for the last four years because of our grandson Aidan who's 12, and for all the families dealing with autism, for research and treatment and to hopefully a cure," Fran explained.
Duncan fundraises all year for the Aidan's Avenger's walking team, and said there is already money donated to their account at the bottle depot and she is eager to thank all those who continue to help and donate.
"The people I want to thank the most are White Spot, Riptide Graphics for the awesome donated T-shirts, Wallpepper Designs and of course all my family, especially my daughter-in-law Sarah Guest, granddaughter Nadia Blower and friends for supporting autism," she said.
"Thanks from the bottom of our hearts for all the donations," she said highlighting all the items donated to their beer and burger night at White Spot.
She said they had 12 walkers on our team including Aidan's sister Nadia who collects pennies for autism throughout the year.
Bottles can be dropped off at the depots in Parksville or Qualicum Beach under the team name, and Duncan can even arrange to pick up bottles.
