Show 'n Shine is a go

The Seaside Cruisers' annual Father's Day Show 'n Shine in Qualicum Beach is a go for 2013 after town council passed a motion on Monday night to once again throw the community's support behind the popular event.
Council granted permission for the Cruisers to take over the streets of the downtown core June 16 with full street closures as in previous years. The town will also continue its usual support in relation to set-up and tear-down, garbage cans, washrooms, emergency services, traffic control and other important assistance, which works out to about $10,000 in staff time and effort which will be supplied in-kind.
The street dance held in association with the event on the night of June 15 also garnered the town's support. — NEWS Staff
