Saturday proclaimed Rotary Day in Parksville

This Saturday, Feb. 23 has been officially proclaimed Rotary Day in Parksville. City council unanimously declared the proclamation Monday night at its regular council meeting after Parksville Rotarian Kim Burden gave a presentation outlining the history and good works of the organization. Rotary International was founded on Feb. 23, 1905 in Chicago. The first Rotary Club in B.C.was established in 1913 and the first Parksville club was established in 1987.
