Dramatic crash in Parksville

DRAMATIC CRASH: Two people were sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and another man was handed an immediate roadside prohibition after a crash Monday morning in Parksville. Police say a man driving a black Chevrolet was travelling south on HIghway 19A just before 11 a.m. when he collided with a Dodge Caravan that was pulling out of the Tim Horton’s lot, heading northbound. Police say the man driving the Dodge showed signs of impairment, but refused to provide a breath sample. The man and woman who were in the Dodge, which ended up on its roof across the highway in front of the Subway/Liquor Store strip mall, were taken to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for observation. - SUBMITTED PHOTO BY D.
