Rocking the Brimm in Parksville for the Tour De Rock

THE KING SINGS FOR TOUR DE ROCK: Adrina Kerr, 22 months old, was dancing in the streets to the sounds of Richard (The King) Stewart, left, and Paul Laine at a Tour de Rock street party fundraiser at the Pacific Brimm in Parksville July 31. There were head shaves and a dunk tank to support Cops for Cancer, with local riders, RCMP constables Jordan Reid and George Minshull, on hand. There is a beer and burger evening at Thalassa Restaurant at the Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Club Friday, Aug. 8 with silent and live auctions, a putting contest, draws and entertainment by Brodie Dawson. Dinner is at 7 p.m., the music starts at 8. Tickets are $30 and going fast. The tour starts Sept. 20, stopping in Oceanside Sept. 25-26.
