Body of missing man located

A search for a missing Parksville man ended Wednesday morning.

Oceanside RCMP Cpl. Jesse Foreman said police received a phone call at 10:50 a.m. from a man who said "he found a deceased man on his property" in Parksville.

Foreman confirmed the deceased man was 50-year-old David Spry, who had been reported missing Aug. 31. The initial reports stated Spry left his residence on a green and black Kawasaki motorcycle without his helmet, wallet or cell phone.

Foreman said foul play is not suspected and the investigation has been forwarded to the B.C. Coroners' Service.                     — NEWS Staff
