On Friday morning (Sept. 29), Oceanside RCMP found a man lingering near the Parksville and District Chamber of Commerce.
The 41-year-old-man from Nanaimo was found to be in breach of a court-ordered condition which resulted in the RCMP arresting him.
The man had been released on recognizance by a judge on Sept. 15, which specified that he was not allowed within the city limits of Parksville. The man was taken back to Nanaimo to appear in court.
In a news release from the Oceanside RCMP, Staff Sgt. Marc Pelletier said, “That is not acceptable; the blatant disregard for the judicial system is rampant amongst the prolific offenders in our community and will not be tolerated.”
