NOTICE OF TEMPORARY USE PERMIT

The Town is considering reissuing a Temporary Use Permit to continue to permit the operation of a cannabis retail outlet in Unit #4, 124 Harlech Road.The Town of Qualicum Beach zoning bylaw only permits cannabis sales in the Town through Temporary Use Permits.This Temporary Use Permit will be authorized for a three-year term in accordance with the Local Government Act.The permit will specify conditions to minimize any negative community impact, such as limited hours of operation, restrictions on window displays and indoor/outdoor security. During the three-year period that the Temporary Use Permit is approved for, the Town will monitor the business and its impact on the surrounding area.

A copy of the Temporary Use Permit may be inspected at the Municipal Office of the Town of Qualicum Beach, #201 – 660 Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, except statutory holidays, from October 25, 2023 to November 13, 2023. Subject to public feedback, the Temporary Use Permit may be issued on November 13, 2023.
