BLACKMORE, Ada Velma
On January 30, 2004 Ada Velma Blackmore passed away peacefully at Echo Village, at the age of 92.
Predeceased by her first husband Cecil Welwood on November 6, 1985, her second husband Pastor Leonard Blackmore on February 5, 2001, her three brothers: Elroyl, Bert and David Prosser; two sisters: Isabelle Campbell and Marguerite Prosser; and grandson Wade Welwood.
Survived by her brothers Gordon Prosser and Lewis Radford, her three children: Jean (Ron Madill), Gary (Georgina Welwood), Richard (Viola Weldwood); and a great number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Velma (Ada) was born in Swift Current, SK and resided in Port Alberni for many years before she moved to Parksville. Totalling 65 years.
She was very involved in all her ministries, she loved to sing, play piano and organ. She was lovingly called “Queenie” by those who knew her well.
A Service of Remembrance was held atOceanside Community Church,1420 Alberni Hwy, Parksville, BC onWednesday, February 4 at 1:00 p.m. withPastor Jim Caruso officiating. Interment to follow atCedar Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
