LOCKHART, Alan Douglas

Born in Quesnel, BC, February 8th, 1927, surrounded by loved ones passed peacefully into the arms of His Savior and Lord Jesus on the evening of November 25th, 2007. He will be tremendously missed and is survived by his wife Vivian Lockhart, daughters Sheila Lockhart, Carol Bednarski (Ted), Catharine Pollock (Ron), Alison Lockhart (Tony Vickery), his ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many dear friends. Alan was a man of great faith who valiantly and steadfastly stood for the truth. An educated gentleman, veteran, historian and writer, he applied his life experience and knowledge with passion to every aspect of his life. The family name in latin 'CORDA SERATO PANDO' means ~ one who breaks open locked hearts. We invite all who knew Alan, to celebrate his life at St. Marks Anglican Church, 138 W. Hoy Lake Rd, Qualicum Beach where we will commend Alan to the Lord Jesus on Saturday, December the 8th at 1:30pm. Our family would like to extend our thanks to Dr. Rachael Carson and the fourth floor nursing staff of the Nanaimo Regional Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cancer Foundation.
