Andy Andersen passed away suddenly but peacefully on November 8, 2007 with his family at his side.
Andy leaves behind to honor his memory, his loving wife of 51 years Ulla, his son Jim and wife Julie, his daughter Irene and husband Mike, grandchildren Nicole, Cheryl, Laura, Ross, 6 step grandchildren, life time friend Tillie Dillen, niece Elly and husband Allan, and his family in Denmark.
Andy will be remembered for his many years of service to the community, including 31 years as an active member of the Parksville Lions Club, a long term member of the Parksville Legion, as well as service on the Parksville City Council and the Regional District of Nanaimo.
Andy valued friendship, integrity and lived a courageous life. He touched the lives of everyone he met.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the first floor of the Nanaimo Hospital for their care and understanding during this trying time.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday ?November 17, 2007 at Yates ?Funeral Home on Allsbrook Road in Parksville, ?at 1 pm, with Reverend ?Van Holst officiating.
