RECALMA, Arnold (Buddy)

He will be sadly missed by Diana, his best friend and wife of 50 years; his son Mark (Dawn Duncan); 4 daughters, Kristina Recalma (George Sim), Kim Recalma-Clutesi, Ingrid Taschuk (Angus), Sara Recalma (Jason Swanson); 3 grandsons, Jake Recalma (Emily), Joshua Recalma and Mark Anthony Roberts; 5 granddaughters, Joanna Recalma, Katie Sim Recalma, Emily Recalma, Heather Taschuk and Brittany Taschuk; one great-grandson, Seth Recalma; one brother, Ray Recalma; special friends Adam Dick and Andrew Telegdi; nieces, nephews, the countless people he brought into his family to nurture and mentor, and his many friends. Buddy was a Hereditary Chieftain, a fisherman and a strong advocate for the rights of his people. But above all else he was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, uncle and friend.
A gathering in his memory will be held at the Lighthouse Community Centre, Lions Way, Qualicum Bay, BC at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2002.
