died peacefully at NRGH on June 16, 2003.Art was born in Olds, Alberta on April 7, 1943 and moved to Kelowna when he was a very young child. He lived in many different towns in BC but settled in Errington in 1991 where he fulfilled his dream of starting his own construction company.
He is survived by his wife Ina, sons Darren of Whistler, Bradley (Karen) of Errington, and Darvin of Calgary, grandsons Kyle and Jason, stepson Peter Osborne (Rachel DeCuypere) of Ottawa, brothers Jack (Irene), Ted (Janet), and Don of Kelowna, sisters Rose (Len) Leonard of Roberts Creek, Phyllis Rieger of Kelowna, Madeleine (Ken) Nicholls of Kelowna, Jenny Bachmann of Prince George and Dian (Gary) Hucal of Nelson, and brother-in-law Bert Leverrier of Kelowna. There are also a great many nieces and nephews who mourn the loss of their uncle. Art was predeceased by his parents John and Dorothy Knorr and his sister Dorothy Leverrier, all of Kelowna.
A Prayer Vigil will be held on Friday, June 20th at 5:45 pm and Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, June 21st at 10:00 am at the Church of the Ascension, 887 Wembley Road, Parksville. Father Shayne Craig officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Art’s wish was that donations be made to the BC Cancer Agency in his memory.
