Astrid was born on August 3, 1935 and passed away on September 28, 2010 at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. She then met and married Bob in May of 1959 and lived in various parts of Canada in connection with Bob’s service with the RCMP. Bob and Astrid were stationed in Ottawa and many places in BC before their retirement. Astrid was an avid gardener with an amazing green thumb and an unbelievable capacity of remembering all Latin names for every plant. She always enjoyed cooking, golfing (she had a pretty good swing), bowling and reading and was an expert New York Times Crossword enthusiast. She was a loving, caring and compassionate person who had a zest for life.

She will remain in our hearts, lovingly remembered and forever missed.
