Audrey passed away peacefully at the Stanford Seniors Care Home in Parksville on September 5, 2017.
She is lovingly remembered by Barry, her husband of 54 years; sons Bradley (Kagiri) and Stephen, granddaughter Mariko; sister Lynda Whittaker; brothers Stewart and Micker Hanson plus many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Rosetown Saskatchewan on March 20, 1940 to Maurice and Alma Hanson. Married on Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte City) June 28, 1963. She was a registered nurse with a career of over 20 years and lived in many communities of BC including Prince Rupert, Atlin, Kitimat, Milner, Powell River, Salt Spring Island to name a few.
Enjoyed doing stained glass and other artwork. Loved to travel in our own aircraft (Cessna 172) across North America and made solo flights in 1985. And also enjoyed hiking on our many trips to Arizona.
A celebration of life will be held on
September 20, 2017
at the Knox United Church, Parksville at 2:00 p.m.
