SMITH, B. Joan
Born in England on October 25, 1919, died peacefully during the early morning of March 2, 2003.
Joan spent most of her adult life in West Vancouver during which time she operated Birch Grove Kindergarten. In the latter years she worked for the Vancouver School District teaching English to new Canadians. In 1995 she moved to French Creek where she enjoyed life immensely with her husband Martin Bradpiece, splitting their time between his home in England and French Creek. Joan was predeceased by her husband Jim, her son Peter and grandson Nathan. She is survived by her husband Martin, her children David (Catherine), Judy and Martin and her grandchildren Jason, Skylar, AJ, Valerie and Lena.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2003 at Knox Heritage Church in the Craig Bay Heritage Park, Parksville.
