It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ben at the Nanaimo Hospital November 3, 2010. Ben was born in Appledorn, Holland and immigrated to Canada at 17 years old, arriving in Edmonton and then moving on to Victoria where he operated his own business, Super Cleaning.
Later Ben joined the staff of Royal Jubilee Hospital becoming Supervisor of Housekeeping for 20 years. He retired in 1995 married his wife Barb Raybone, bought a Motor-home and they became snowbirds for 15 years and moved to Qualicum Beach.
Ben leaves his loving wife Barb, his sons Brad (Cynthia), Kevin (Shannon) and his granddaughters Alicia, Tamara and Step Grandson Jake, Step-daughters Candy, Murray Spark, Alicia, Jen, and Step-son Curt Raybone, and his son Colin, Julie-Anne, and Meleah, his buddy Darcy Raybone, friends Elli, Stanley and Donna. His dog Sophie doesn’t know what to do without him.
There will be no service at Ben’s request.
