KALINOWSKI, Bessie Eleanor (nee Reynolds)
Born April 4, 1912, passed away peacefully March 11, 2006.
Predeceased by loving husband Joe in 1992. She is survived by her loving family: daughters Jo (Bill) Worster of Creston, BC, Jeanette (Bob) Daines of Campbell River, BC and Joyce Gravelle of Parksville, BC; son Ray (Daphne) of Dunedin, New Zealand; 5 grandchildren: Gordon (Laura) and Sandra Daines of Vancouver, BC, Amber, Daniel (Robyn) and Dayna Kalinowski of New Zealand; and 5 great grandchildren.Predeceased by brothers George and Dennis Reynolds and sisters Beryl Gibson and Althea Hrenchuk. She is survived by brothers: Warren (Rose) Reynolds of St. Paul, MN and Nick (Edith) Reynolds of Parksville, BC; sister Blanche McKelvy of Oak Harbor, WA; sisters-in-law Rose Gregoire of Shaunavon, SK and Justine Ek of Port Alberni, BC. Joe and Bess were raised in Gull Lake, SK, married in 1937 and moved to Port Alberni where they lived for 53 years and raised their family. Joe spent most of his working life on the waterfront in Port Alberni. Bess worked outside the home for a short time but her main interests were cooking, sewing, quilting and maintaining a spotless home for her family. Their garden on Indian Avenue was an abundance of food and flowers.
A family graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Port Alberni.
