It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bruce, at the age of 82, of Parksville, BC.
Bruce will be forever remembered by his loving wife Jean, of 28 years, 4 children, 3 step-daughters, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his former wife Lola, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Bruce was born in Prince George, BC where he lived and worked until 1968. He then came to Vancouver Island where he worked until retiring in 1990 at Parksville, BC.
The family would like to thank Steve and Brenda Hadley who assisted at the scene, the Provincial Ambulance Services and the staff of the emergency department at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held on
Sunday, January 11, 2009, at 2:00 pm at
Yates Funeral Chapel,
1000 Allsbrook Rd., Parksville, BC
with a reception to follow.
